Activity: Things God Made Collage

What you need:

A large piece of paper; crayons; old magazines (or printouts from a computer); scissors; glue sticks

What you do:
Look through magazines with your child and find things that God made. Have them point to the picture and then you cut it out. Place the pictures you cut out, paper, and crayons on the table. Work together to create a collage by drawing things God made and gluing magazine pictures onto the paper. Hang the collage on the wall or refrigerator so you can talk about all the things God made.

What you say:
“Everywhere we look, we can spy things God made! Let’s make a collage of things God made. Paul told the people in Athens that God made the world and that God made people—including you! Paul told the people about Jesus so they could believe in Him. Jesus wants to be my friend forever. Tell me, who can believe in Jesus? I can believe in Jesus.”

“Dear God, there is no one else like You. Only You could make the whole world and everything in it. Only You could make people. Only You could make all of the space and the stars, sun, moon, and planets. You are AMAZING, God! We want to thank You for all of the amazing things You made. And most of all, thank You for loving us so much that You gave us Jesus. We love You, God. In Jesus’ name, amen.”
